HMIS Webinars – Data Entry into ServicePoint (May 2008)

Wilder Research has developed a series of Webinars for ServicePoint users to view for help with a variety of ServicePoint data entry issues. These Webinars will be available until May 15 2009. You may review them as often as you’d like to help with the details of entering data for HMIS.

Webinar specifications
To view the webinar, you must be using the following operating systems:

PC-based attendees
Required: Windows® 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, 2003 Server, Vista

Macintosh®-based attendees
Required: Mac OS® X 10.3.9 (Panther®) or newer

Correctly entering and updating household information
As it is very common for household composition to change quite frequently, this session will walk through the sections of the Household Overview to use when updating household information and also talk about possible scenarios and how to correctly deal with these household changes in the system

Security and data sharing
For any programs that share data with other program using ServicePoint, there are a few additional steps to complete. We will walk through the steps needed to correctly share data along with things to avoid so you wont’ cause difficulties for the programs you share with.

Entering data for multiple programs
Many of you receive funding from more that one state funding source as well as HUD. We will talk about how to correctly and efficiently enter data as clients receive multiple funds. We will talk both about clients who receive multiple funding sources at the same time and clients who may move through your program, needing to be entered with different funding requirements at different points in time.

How to enter and end services (using the multiple services button)
In the 4.04 update we got in the fall, there is a new easy method of entering services that we want to make sure everyone knows how to use. The method for looking up services already entered to enter end dates or make changes also is different. We will walk through both these changes.
