People with Lived Experience/Expertise Board Seats Now Open!

The MN HMIS Governing Board is pleased to announce that board seats for People with Lived Experience/Expertise with homelessness are now open for folx to apply! Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, August 13. We strongly encourage folx to share this with their networks. Below you can access online and Microsoft Word versions of the application.

Thank you for your interest in serving on the Minnesota HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) Governing Board! The HMIS Governing Board and its committees provide strategic direction and decision-making in support of Minnesota’s HMIS. We are seeking to fill two MN HMIS Governing Board seats reserved for people with lived experience/expertise. We will be choosing one representative from the Twin Cities Metro Area and one from Greater Minnesota. These seats require members to join for an every other month Board meeting as well as joining one of the MN HMIS committees (committee structure and descriptions are contained within one of the questions in the form). 

The terms for the two seats will begin 11/1/2025 and run for two years with an option of one additional year (by choice of the board member). These board seats are paid positions. Additionally, the MN HMIS Governing Board and ICA will assist with accommodations that the board members will require (including travel, technology assistance, etc.).
