Have You Created Duplicate Client Records in HMIS? You May Be Hearing from Us Soon!

Since transitioning to a new HMIS software last year, ICA has observed an uptick in the creation of duplicate client records. Because the presence of duplicates increases the number of records users need to navigate when providing services to clients and reduces the accuracy of reports, we are working on system enhancements that will make it easier to find existing records and harder to create unwanted duplicates.

Along with making the planned system changes, our team will be performing weekly outreach to users who have created more than one duplicate client record in the previous week. Starting the week of June 16, emails will be sent from the Helpdesk (mnhmis@icalliances.org) containing guidance on how to avoid creating duplicate records.
